July FUN Meeting
Wow! What an evening. Our annual fund-raising event was a real mystery - a murder mystery, that is. The stage was set at the beautiful Strathmore Mansion in Bethesda, Maryland where our very own, Caribbean Caterers, provided a buffet of Grilled Chicken Breast, Rice Pilaf, Macaroni Pie, Grilled Vegetables, and Mixed Baby Greens with fresh raspberries and raspberry vinaigrette. For dessert, we had Bread Pudding with rum sauce and the famous chocolate fountain provided by The Chocolate Chick. Thank you, Hilary.
Our cast of characters were, well, let's just say not the best actors in the world, but, hey, what do you expect from wedding vendors? But, they must have been pretty good because no one was able to guess who the murderer really was. Yes, it was Buck Stopsere. Who knew Brian, aka Buck, could be so mean as to murder a wedding planner!
The silent auction was a great success once again. We collected well over $2,000 to benefit Brides Against Breast Cancer. Thank you for supporting this effort, and special thanks to the following generous donors:
