Membership Benefits

• Monthly Meetings - AWP meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month, (except August and December) at an area hotel, restaurant, or reception site. Meetings rotate regularly between Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland. The meetings include a networking reception, dinner, and a guest speaker or other educational program.
  
  
• Newsletter - The newsletter contains information about the latest happenings within the association and among its members.
  
  
• Our Annual "Evening With The Newlyweds" - Each year at our September meeting we gather a focus group of recently married couples who share the experiences of planning their wedding. This is one of our largest and most informative meetings of the year.
  
  
• Listing on the AWP website - Each member receives their own web page on this site, including a description of their business, a graphic image, and links to your main website if you have one. This is an excellent opportunity to drive more business to members' websites, and also enhance each member's credibility.
  
  
• E-Mail alias - Should you desire, we will create a YOURNAME@weddingprofessionals.org e-mail address that will direct mail to any other e-mail account you may have. This is ideal for those that use a personal e-mail account for their business purposes and would like to have a more professional looking (and sounding) address for their business. No additional software is needed...we simply forward the new mail to your existing e-mail account. This process is totally transparent to the sender.
  
  
• Listing in Membership Directory - Each member receives a listing in the AWP membership directory, which is distributed to the membership for use as a referral guide as well as being distributed to brides and grooms seeking services.
  
  
• Use of AWP Logo - Members may display the AWP logo in their advertising. This logo is a symbol of quality, and as our focus groups show, membership in groups such as AWP does tend to help sway undecided prospects.
  
  
• Promotion of Your Business - AWP promotes its members through ads in wedding publications as well as exhibiting at area bridal shows.
